Did you know Australian men is a thing? Australian men have a reputation for being sexy with overseas woman. Take that into account when you see Australian men presented in overseas movies or TV. Crocodile Dundee was a way sexy movie to the foreign ladies and it is not with out reason the dumb blond in the feminist Ghost Busters movie had an Australian accent. Polite in an unpretentious rustic sort of way. A real gentleman but not useless. A young woman would be seriously at risk of getting raped hitching around parts of Europe. But in Australia he is more likely to offer lunch and expect nothing. But be perfectly capable of taking the hint if that is the way she wants it to go. And when the foreign women come to visit they don’t go back disappointed. “It’s true what they say about Australian men; but what gives with their woman?” I first became aware of this when they started getting worried about middle aged Australian men coming back from Asia with wives. “Six pack and a wife to go.” Was the term.
