Goomeri Pumpkin Festival 2021

I arrived at the festival on Saturday afternoon, the music stage was pumping out tunes and a pop-up eatery was serving up fun food in the vacant block next door and there was music in the streets. When I attended this event in 2003 it was a small One day event. Now it is a huge four day event and the Sunday grand finale is huge. I got an early night, which was a mistake as I missed the fireworks. The music stage was rocking well into the night.

I was up at eight thirty and the festivities were in full swing. The streets were packed with patrons, market stalls lined the streets and a second pop-up eatery was serving up a feast. This sand sculpture was coming together, there were camel rides and squealing pig races and of course the music was pumping.

Across from the sand sculpture, not far from the music stage a circus school set up performing aerial traipse.

There weren’t such a lot of roving characters, these two colour themed stilt walkers and a roving pumpkin made of balloons.
