There is wisdom behind the mask of folly

Oh my soul

Oh my soul

What is this thing that fills our dreams and slips away from us? (Queen)
What is this moment of consciousness
A lifetime in a universe so vast it might as well be infinite.
To sleep, to dream and what dreams may come in that sleep we call death? (Shakespeare)
Something passes, but I feel assured I have my place in Eternity.
I put my faith in Christ
Because Christmas are such good people
They accept me as I am
They are kind and generous
Cheerful and optimistic
And all they ask is I accept the truth they offer
Now I come to the Lord in fear
I fall a long way short of the ideal
And I can’t guarantee my future behaviour
So I lay my sins at the foot of the cross
And try to trust that Jesus’ sacrifice was sufficient a price
And what do I think comes next?
A moment in a universe vast beyond imagination
God knows
