Welcome to Utopia
You are a citizen of Utopia a perfect high-tech futuristic playground. You are a clone and were produced in a batch of six identical clones. Your clone brothers are still in their vats where they are connected into the Alpha Continuity and experience everything their active clone experiences. Life in Utopia is perfect for the genetically engineered clones that dwell in its domes. But there is a troublesome element in Utopia – mutants and members of secret societies. There is a rumour getting round that all the clone citizens of Utopia are mutants and members of secret societies. This is a treasonous lie, the vast majority of the citizens of Utopia are loyal and trustworthy to The Computer.
The happiness of its citizens is the highest of priorities to The Computer For this reason –
Happiness is Mandatory.
If you are not happy report to your happiness officer.
Failure to do so will result in prosecution for illegal drug evasion.
Traitors are responsible for everything that goes wrong in Utopia. The Computer and its loyal citizens don’t make mistakes.
If a clone is a mutant The Computer understands; the clone is not a disloyal citizen it is simply the victim of treasonous secret society sabotage. The luckless clone can register their mutant power and get all the respect a registered mutant deserves.
Clones are not the only intelligent things in Utopia. The trinary bit (yes no or maybe) allows for free thinking machines. Bots make up much of the population of Utopia. Bots work according to logical priorities and have a mind of their own.
Traitors cause all sorts of trouble for The Computer and its citizens. To deal with the unique trouble causes by traitors and their nefarious designs; The Computer assigns trouble shooter teems. Congratulations; you have been chosen to join a trouble shooter teem. This is a great opportunity to serve The Computer and Utopia and gain security clearance rank. Beware there may be traitors on your teem that can cause all sorts of trouble. Keep a sharp eye out and report any suspicious behaviour to internal security. Your loyalty will be rewarded – your treason will come to light.
